Stephen Burch

About

Stephen Burch, a native of Desoto Parish, grew up in Stanley, Louisiana, and spent much of his childhood in the high school gym. With basketball in his blood—his mother was a basketball champion and his father was an All-State Louisiana Athlete and McDonald’s All-American Finalist—Stephen quickly made his mark. By the time he graduated from high school in 2001, he had led the state in scoring with an average of 34 points per game and broke his coach’s record by scoring 62 points in a single game. These achievements earned him a Division 1 scholarship to Northwestern State University, where he fulfilled his basketball scholarship and earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education. Following in his father's footsteps, he became a third-generation teacher and a basketball coach. Stephen is no stranger to teamwork and achieving goals. For the past 18 years, he has taught and coached in both Desoto and Sabine Parish, where he met his wife Dawn. Together, they have four children. Stephen’s roots run deep in this community, spending summers coaching AAU basketball in Shreveport and traveling across the country. Two of his AAU players went on to play in the NBA. Additionally, he spent two summers as a camp counselor at Michael Jordan’s Flight School in Santa Barbara, California, gaining invaluable experience working alongside Michael Jordan. In 2020, Stephen accomplished his lifelong dream of leading his high school basketball team to a state championship, becoming Class-C State Champions and earning the title of Coach of the Year. Transitioning from coaching to real estate was a natural move for Stephen. Driven by a competitive spirit, he brings the same winning mentality to his real estate career. Stephen is dedicated to helping clients achieve their goals, whether buying or selling a home. He strives to provide the best professional real estate experience while creating lifelong friendships. “Dedication Makes Dreams Come True” ~Kobe Bryant
