In today’s fiercely competitive luxury real estate market, digital marketing is crucial for high-end real estate agents. Digital marketing helps agents impress consumers by building their brand, making them more present and accessible. Agents who spend the most on marketing also have the highest gross commission income (GCI) – says Drew Wilke. So, cutting marketing costs is not a good idea, and agents should invest in themselves.
While digital marketing is essential, there are some misconceptions about it. Drew points out that one of the misconceptions is that people view marketing as an expense rather than an investment. He stressed that marketing should be viewed as an investment that requires a long-term strategy. Moreover, another misconception is that people expect immediate returns from marketing, which is not always the case. For instance, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is an excellent example of this long-term approach that requires patience and thinking ahead.
